Training
They have undergone rigorous training, including specialized courses in defensive driving techniques, enabling them to navigate busy roads with precision. School bus drivers are trained to handle emergencies that may occur during transportation, such as administering first aid or evacuating students in case of accidents or unexpected circumstances. Their presence provides assurance that students are in safe hands during such incidents. Every four years school bus drivers need to complete a comprehensive training program that includes classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel training, and certification in first aid and CPR. They must complete 10 hours of training which includes 7 hours of classroom trading and a minimal of 3 hours of behind the wheel on road trading with a qualified school bus instructor.

Driver performs daily vehicle safety checks to ensure optimal condition. Checks include brakes, tires, lights, and emergency equipment. Routine maintenance helps to guarantee vehicles are mechanically sound and meet safety standards.
